Kera, a High School Spanish Teacher in the Chicagoland area, unexpectedly lost her mom in the Summer of 2022. Just 5 days after giving birth to her second-born daughter, Kera was left navigating postpartum and grief. Using the skillset she polished from lesson design, Kera decided to create a keepsake to help others. Legacy Letters is a guided journal designed to help people leave behind lasting messages of love, advice, and support so their loved ones will forever have a piece of them to carry in their hearts forever. There is also a section for milestone moments as well as open-ended prompts. Kera describes her mother as a force, and she intends to follow her legacy and help as many as she can with these guided journals and provide positivity with an often dark topic such as death and dying.
